Responsibilities:

Candidate’s duties will include:

  •  Preparation and proper dissemination of company tax, NIS contributions and VAT returns to the regulators
  •  Preparation and management of all accounting operations including billing, payroll, bank reconciliations, depositing cheques, filing of records (manual and online backup),
  • Issuing receipts, weekly income and expenditure statement, payables & receivables report, etc.
  •  Preparation of financial statements and returns for insurance, tax, and other regulations
  • To establish a system for invoices issued and, collection of payments
  •  Ensuring safe custody of financial assets and records
  •  Establish and maintain best practice in financial matters to ensure that these are conducted in compliance with relevant statutory requirements
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory law and financial regulations
  • Preparation & Maintenance of Cashflow forecasts and projections to effectively manage cash balance including petty cash reconciliations
  • Maintain financial data bases and manual filing systems

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:

  • ACCA Level 2 or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or other accounting certification
  •  Minimum of 2 years experience as an accountant
  • Professional experience working with confidential and sensitive information
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical skills
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Quickbooks software
  • Excellent use of Microsoft Office Word and Excel
Duties:
 
1. Maintain and update records in Quickbooks
2. Reconcile bank statements
3. Prepare petty cash & cheque payment vouchers
4. Purchase of stationery and supplies
5. Maintain filing system
6. Remit payments to GRA and NIS
7. Prepare receipts for payments 
8. Prepare booking orders for advertisements
9. Manage petty cash and accompanying records
10. Generate payables & receivables report
11. Organise bank deposits
12. Prepare weekly income and expenditure statement
 
 
Requirements and Skills:
 
The ideal candidate must possess the following:  
1.  ACCA level 1 or equivalent qualification in Accounting
2.  Working Knowledge of Quickbooks software
3.  Excellent command of Microsoft Office Word and Excel
4.  The ability to pay attention to details 
5.  Confidentiality and integrity
